Mr. Ladds enjoys the privilege of private
consulting practice, but there is little or no
veterinary practice in this Colony and in any
case Mr. Ladds states that he has not time to
attend to what little there is •
He is occasionally consulted as to the
treatment of Cattle, but such consulting practice is very
(
small.
It is right to state that the Vaccine
Institute is a successful and useful undertaking, which
has proved a reminerative work, and that the responsibi-
lity of Mr.Ladds' general duties have increased and are
still increasing.

I have the honour to be,
sir,
Your most obedient
Humble Servant,
My. Gascoigne
Major-General
Administering the Government.
